XENIA HAUSNER: Turn of Time
In "Turn of Time", Xenia Hausner offers an unambiguous artistic response to the pressing crises of our time. With her mouth open in a silent scream, a female figure balances a glowing clock on her head, resembling a globe—its hands frozen at five to twelve. Time is running out.

The sculpture captures a moment of extreme tension—between alarm and awakening, between despair and the persistent drive for change. It serves as a reminder of what is at stake: dwindling resources, a climate spiraling out of control, the erosion of democratic values, and the dignity of human life. By transforming the female body into a vessel of warning and admonition, Hausner gives form to the collective unease of a world in upheaval.
As old certainties crumble, "Turn of Time" rises as a call—a visual alarm signal demanding renewal and responsibility and urging change before our time runs out.
THE SCULPTURE IN PUBLIC SPACE WAS UNVEILED ON MAY 21, 2026.
