THOMAS SCHÜTTE: Retrospective at the New York MoMA
Thomas Schütte is one of the most important sculptors currently working, which is why the New York MoMA is dedicating a major retrospective to him this fall. More than 100 works from the artist's decades-long career will be on display. These include sculptures, drawings, prints and architectural designs.
Thomas Schütte has made a name for himself as a draughtsman and sculptor and has risen to the ranks of the great contemporary positions. His often imaginative creations, which the Düsseldorf-based artist mostly casts in bronze and steel, lie somewhere between fiction and reality.
