NEO RAUCH & ROSA LOY: Verwobene Sphären

The Museum of Fine Arts Liberec is presenting almost 100 works by Neo Rauch and Rosa Loy that have never been shown in the Czech Republic before. The exhibition includes large-format canvases, more intimate private paintings as wel as drawings and sketches, complemented by several spatial installations depicting the period of their unique creative phase from the mid-1990s to the present day. The show is the eleventh joint exhibition.

In close collaboration with the artist, the curators of the exhibition have selected works that both keep in their private collections. These works either have a deeply personal meaning or specifically document their inner painterly development, which they consider to be central to their artistic careers. The exhibition is therefore more than a simple retrospective; it provides an insight into the intimate world of the two, who, as long-term partners, have always experienced mutual inspiration, influence and complementarity in their artistic work.

THE EXHIBITION WILL BE ON DISPLAY FROM OCTOBER 11, 2024 TO JANUARY 26, 2025.
