IT budgets rising despite continuing pressure to economize
Düsseldorf, 03.March, 2010 – After a hard slam on the brakes during the crisis ridden year 2009 companies are obviously willing again to invest into information technology. That’s the bottom line of the IT-Study 2010, which “Handelsblatt”, Germany’s leading business and finance magazine, and the international consulting firm Droege & Comp. will present at the CeBIT on March 3 of this year. The study indicates that IT-budgets of the 382 surveyed businesses will rise by 1.2 percent. The previous year they dropped by 4.2 percent. „It is a good sign that businesses continue to invest despite the continuing pressure to economize. Beforehand many studies signalized declining IT spendings”, said Torsten Frankenberger, Managing Partner with Droege & Comp.
