Is a degree in economics a prerequisite?
A degree in economics provides a good basis, however, it is not a must. Applicants with a degree in engineering or natural sciences will have the opportunity to acquire the necessary business knowledge in specially designed modules offered by Droege Group Academy.
To which portfolio company of the Droege Group should I address my application?
Ideally, your profile reveals clearly which company would be the best match for you. A reference in your cover letter will help us forward your application to the right contact person. If it turns out that your competences would fit another Company of the Droege Group better, you'll profit from our short ways.

How early before my planned start should I submit my application?
The early bird catches the worm! Your application should have reached us two months before your desired start date at the latest.
Do you accept initiative applications?

Which documents should I include with my application?
A complete application includes a cover letter that details your motivation for applying at Droege Group, as well as a full résumé including all relevant certificates and references. You can apply by mail, e-mail or online on our website.
What happens during the selection process?
We will contact you within ten working days after we have received your application to give you feedback regarding a possible invitation to an initial interview. Our selection process is divided into two successive rounds of interviews. Round one consists of three one-on-one meetings, comprising a brief applicant presentation, structured interviews and case studies. After both the first and second rounds, you will receive information within two working days regarding the results of the interviews. You can find out more about the selection process here.
How do I prepare myself for the interviews?
For us, the decisive point is the ‘how?’ in the ‘what?’ During the selection interviews, we want to find out how you go about solving problems. We are looking for structured and analytical thinking, business sense, creativity and communications skills. You won’t impress us with memorized textbook solutions.
Can I also apply for offices outside Germany?
Deployments abroad are possible – depending on the level of your professional and consulting experience, after consultation with our offices abroad and depending on project requirements.
How long will it take to process my application?

Development
How will the Droege International Group prepare me for my work as a consultant?
At the beginning of your consulting career you will complete the Droege International Group Basic Consultant Readiness course. During this time, you will find out more about our execution-driven approach to consulting – including our art concept. After finishing the course you will be assigned to your first project where you will receive an on-the-job training, working alongside with some of our most experienced employees.
Which criteria are important for promotion?
Your professional and personal development is relevant for your promotion. In addition to your working performance your contribution to strengthen our knowledge data base is important. Both will be evaluated during the feedback process. Our guiding principle is: "The better stands in front."
Who evaluates my performance and how?
At the end of each project, your project leader will give you an assessment. If you have worked on additional special projects and made a significant contribution to the Droege International Group knowledge base in doing so, this work will also be evaluated by a partner or principal. Twice a year, your personal coach will summarize these evaluations for you.
Will the Droege International Group support me if I want to study for a doctor's degree?
Yes. If you decide, after working for us for some time, that you would like to pursue a doctor's degree, we will be happy to help you.
Can I also gather international experience while working for the Droege International Group?
Placements abroad are possible – depending on the level of your professional or consulting experience, after consultation with the offices abroad and depending on project requirements.
Project work
How many consultants work on a given project?
Our project teams are put together according to the needs of the project – its length, its scope and customers' requirements. On average, a team consists of four to five consultants.
Should I be prepared for a lot of traveling?
You should expect to spend around four to five days of every week working on site at a client’s premises.
What’s the average duration of a project?
Every consulting project is divided into a preliminary study which, depending on the task, lasts two to four weeks, and a main phase, whose length can vary significantly.
Fellowship Program (internship)
How many Fellowship Programs does the Droege International Group grant each year?
Generally speaking, every year we give around 20 top students/graduates the opportunity to get to know our execution-driven approach to consulting as part of one of our Fellowship Programs at Droege Group.
What’s the duration of a Fellowship Program at Droege International Group?
A Fellowship at Droege Group lasts at least two months.
What are the requirements for becoming a Fellow?
As a prospective Fellow at Droege Group you should be in the last third of your post graduate program (not BA) or currently studying for a further postgraduate qualification (doctorate, MBA, postgraduate/second degree studies etc.). You should have achieved a grade of at least ‘good’ (2.5) in your pre-degree/final degree. In the course of internships, you have acquired good insight into relevant professional fields such as management consulting, corporate in-house consulting, specific industries or finance. You already have some experience of working abroad and speak excellent English and have impressive analytical and communication skills. You are a team player with excellent social skills.

The selection process for Fellows is limited to a single round of interviews comprising two meetings, in which we aim to determine how you approach typical problems from our project work. In addition to your professional knowledge, we are also looking for originality and creativity. Following the meetings, if your interview partners are convinced of your qualities, you will be offered a contract within one working day.

What are my responsibilities as a Fellow?
During your time with us, you will work as a full team member at the client’s premises, where you will be closely involved in the project work. The level of your performance will directly affect the level of your involvement and responsibility.
Who will be my contact person during the Fellowship Program?
Your on-site project leader as well as the human resources department will answer any questions you might have during your Fellowship Program.
How long is an average working day for a Fellow?
Fellows are full members of their project teams, so your working day will depend on that of the team. It can vary depending on clients, projects and project phases. We expect our Fellows to show high levels of commitment.
