For many years now, we have been supporting the children’s project ‘Kind in Düsseldorf’ (KiD). The project was set up in 1993 to provide an in-patient care center for children who are the victims of violence. KiD takes a holistic approach to child care, providing the children with the long-term support they need to overcome their crises. In addition to diagnostics and therapy, the center’s attached living area also provides children with a safe haven where they have the chance to work through and learn to cope with their traumatic experiences.
